 Paris 2024 Wheelchair Basketball: Official Competition Schedule Released

Guess what, little one? The very first wheelchair basketball game at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games is going to be so exciting! It’s going to be a big match between two strong teams from Europe. On August 29th, at 10:30 in the morning (that’s 10:30 CEST, just like when the sun is shining bright), Great Britain is going to play against Germany. Isn’t that fun? We can’t wait to see who will win this special game!

The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation and Paris 2024 have shared the big news about the wheelchair basketball games at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games! These exciting games will happen from August 29th to September 8th. Isn’t that cool?

All the fun will be at the Bercy Arena, right in the middle of Paris. Eight teams of men and eight teams of women from all around the world will play super hard to win shiny Paralympic medals. The games will start on August 29th, just one day after the big Opening Ceremony.

The first game is going to be really special because Great Britain will play against Germany in the men’s Group A match at 10:30 in the morning (that’s 10:30 CEST). And right after that, at 12:45, the women’s teams will jump in! Great Britain, who won silver medals last time, will play against Spain. How exciting!

The games will keep going until September 2nd with lots of matches, and then the really important ones, called knockout matches, will start on September 3rd. The teams will play in groups first, and then move on to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finally, the super-duper important finals! The men’s final will be on September 7th, and the women’s final will be on September 8th. Can you imagine all the excitement? It’s going to be so much fun to watch!
